- How do I book?
- Reach out via the contact form or email with your names and wedding date to check availability. Once we connect and you are ready to move forward, a 30% non-refundable retainer and signed contract will secure your date.
- How far do you travel?
- Anywhere! I'm based in Raleigh and photograph weddings across the Triangle — Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, Apex, Wake Forest, Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina — with no travel fee within 60 miles. I regularly travel to Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Wilmington, Charlotte, Asheville, and the Outer Banks, and welcome destination weddings anywhere in the US. Accommodations and travel specifics are discussed during your consultation.
- Do you offer customized packages?
- Absolutely. For weddings that fall outside the standard format — intimate ceremonies, micro-weddings, elopements, or unique timelines — we can craft something tailored just for you.
- How long until I receive my photos?
- You will receive a sneak peek gallery within 1 week of your wedding day. The full edited gallery is typically delivered within 4 weeks during the slow season and up to 2 months during the busy season.
- How much does a wedding photographer cost in Raleigh, NC?
- Wedding photography investment with Luisa NC Photography starts at $2,200 for The Beginning Collection, with photo-only collections going up to $5,900 for The Legacy Collection. Photo-and-video cinematic bundles begin at $3,800. Every wedding is different — custom packages can be tailored to your vision, guest count, and timeline. Pricing reflects full-day presence, complete editing, and a private online gallery delivered within 6–8 weeks.
- How many photos will we receive from our wedding?
- Every wedding gallery is edited to include every meaningful, well-composed image from your day — no artificial cap. For 8-hour weddings, couples typically receive 500–800 professionally edited high-resolution JPEGs delivered through a private online gallery. Galleries remain available for 120 days from delivery, with unlimited downloads and a personal-use print release included.
- What happens if you get sick or can't make it to our wedding?
- Your day is irreplaceable, and I take backup seriously. I bring backup camera bodies and memory cards to every wedding. In the rare event I cannot perform due to illness, injury, or emergency, I will immediately notify you and either arrange a replacement photographer of comparable skill and style (subject to your approval) or refund all fees paid in full within 15 days.
- Do we need an engagement session?
- It's not required, but it's one of the most valuable things you can do before your wedding. An engagement session lets us work together before the big day — you get comfortable in front of the camera, I learn how you two interact, and we both show up on your wedding day already a team. Engagement sessions are included in select wedding collections or can be added to any package.
- What is your photography style?
- My work is timeless, cinematic, and emotion-led. I photograph candidly when the moments are happening on their own and guide gently when a little direction is needed. I edit with warm, true-to-tone color — not trendy filters that age out of fashion. The goal is images that still feel like you twenty years from now.
- When should we book our wedding photographer?
- Most couples book their wedding photographer 9–18 months before their wedding date. Peak NC wedding months (April–June and September–November) fill especially quickly. If your date is within the next year, I recommend reaching out as soon as you've chosen a venue. A signed contract and 30% non-refundable retainer secure your date exclusively.
- Do you offer payment plans?
- Yes. A 30% non-refundable retainer reserves your date at signing, and the remaining balance is due 30 days before your wedding. Within that window, payments can be split into installments at no extra cost. Just let me know during consultation and we'll map out a schedule that works for you.
- Are you licensed and insured?
- Yes — Luisa NC Photography is a fully licensed LLC in North Carolina with business liability insurance. Many venues require proof of insurance from your photographer, and I'm happy to provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) directly to your venue at no cost before the wedding.
